Information
Look around you… technology and artificial intelligence play a vital role in all of our lives, but in what ways are they being used to improve our lives?
During this free, drop-in event, children of all ages and families can try out hands-on activities which explore how technology, specifically technologies labelled “artificial intelligence” or AI can be used in medicine to benefit our health through quicker diagnosis and appropriate treatment of disease.
Can you win against a piece of paper in a game of noughts and crosses? How quickly can you spot a bone fracture versus the AI? Have you ever tried to build a robot? Do you know the importance of the DNA code? Families attending can take part in all of these activities and more.
This event is supported by University of Aberdeen Researchers from the Industrial Centre for Artificial Intelligence Research in Digital Diagnostics (iCAIRD) and TechFest.
