Information
Mammograms play a vital role in the detection of breast cancer. However, it is a time intensive process, with examination of mammograms being conducted by up to three consultants.
An innovative project between the University of Aberdeen, NHS Grampian and Keiron Medical Technologies, brought together by the Industrial Centre for Artificial Intelligence Research in Digital Diagnostics (iCAIRD), is assessing whether artificial intelligence could be used to speed up the screening process; reducing waiting times for patients.
Join members of the project group as they discuss the project and explain how artificial intelligence could transform this part of cancer screening.
This event is brought to you by the Aberdeen Centre for Health Data Science, a partnership between the University of Aberdeen, NHG Grampian and NHS Research and Development North Node, which seeks to create data science solutions to the challenges facing health and health care.
