Information
Hear filmmaker Thomas Riedelsheimer talk with curator Prof. Sarah Cook about the making of Thomas’s new feature film Tracing Light which sets out to capture research into light waves and particles happening in the ARC. As part of three stories, the film includes a focus on the work of British artists Ruth Jarman and Joe Gerhardt (aka artist duo Semiconductor) who have been in residence in the Extreme Light Group at the Advanced Research Centre, led by Prof. Daniele Faccio. Thomas will show rushes from the film in progress, and throughout the day you will be able to watch four of Thomas’s previous films featuring visual artist Andy Goldsworthy, sound artist Evelyn Glennie, and architect and sculptor Susumu Shingu.
